Ground Control Coil-Over Install
I found the Ground Control parts to be of high
quality and Jay was extremely helpful in helping me decide what
spring rates to use (275 at all 4 corners). I included shorter
Tokico 5 way adjustable strut inserts in the project, so that
meant shortening the strut tubes. When the Tokicos are turned
down to 1, the ride is about the same as it was with my stock
suspension while using my 70 series street tires.
Here is a picture of Jeff cutting a
section of the strut so we can shorten it. we used the electric
saw to make sure we had square ends, which made welding the tubes
a bit easier. The welding was still a bit tricky, but Jeff's uncle
did a great job. We slid one of my old strut inserts into the
tube to help keep it aligned during the welding process.
Here is the finished coil-over ready
to go back into the car. Notice the Street Prepared camber plate
at the top.
And here is the final product back
in the car. Pretty sexy looking huh? :)
