Några Porschebilder från Skarpnäck
60´s racing in Sweden

In the 50´s och 60´s car races were held at the Skarpnäck airfield outside Stockholm. With 135 mm lens from the spectator location and the fading colour of the reversal film the pictures are somewhat short of fantastic, but I submit them nevertheless as period pieces.

This race was held in the spring of 1966

This fresh-from-the-factory Carrera 6 was one of three fielded on this occasion. This one was piloted by Ulf Norinder and the others by Picko Troberg and Sten Axelsson. Troberg was winner of this race and the series.

Norinder/ Troberg shared a Ferrari 250GTO in the 1964 Targa Florio and came 9th overall. But in the 1966 Targa the only entrant with swedish connection was 906 no. 143 raced by Mitter/Bonnier. (They were second until Gerhard Mitter went off the road). No. 155 was entered in the 1966 Le Mans steered by Gregg/Axelsson. A connecting rod broke a little more than an hour before the finish.
