| Singer in Coventry made small sporty cars from the early 30s in the form of Singer Nine. It was entered in various competitions among them Le Mans wich gave the name of the model above. Singers in one kind or another continued to run at Le Mans up to 1949. The 972 c.c. engine gave 29 bhp ät 4.400 rpm and you better observe this limit for the crankshaft is two-bearing. The gear-box had "the worst-assorted set of gear ratios ever fitted to a car ot this type". | ||
