| Bugatti 35 |
| This type 35 Bugatti was built in 1925-26 with Ch. no 4696 and engine no 68. It was delivered to M Campbell in London 27/1 1926. After being raced in England it was rebuild as a 35C in 1929. 1931 it was sold to Norwegian racing driver Eugen Björnstad by Essor Auto in Paris. It was later sold to the racing team of the Carlsson brothers in Västerås, Sweden and subsequently raced by Helmer Carlsson-Alsed in 1935-36. After passing several owners it was bought in a neglected condition by Lennart Haajanen in 1956. He restored it to the state shown by these pictures. It has lately been advertised for sale and its wherebouts is unknown. |

| Through the Swedish motor historian Curt Borgenstam, Lennart Haajanen was introduced in Molsheim 1958 to the service manager Francois Seyfried. By that time and up to 1965 it was still possible to buy spare parts over the counter at the factory. Haajanen needed quite a lot of them, mainly small parts and many of them were bought on shopping trips to France, all marked "Occasion". Another Swede using this service was Bertil Lindblad who restored the ex-Chiron 35B raced in Sweden in the 30´s by K G Sundstedt (see next page). |

The Zénith carburettor sits underneath the Rootes supercharger. The thing above the inlet manifold is a pressure gate so that blow-backs from the engine won´t harm the blower. The corresponding hole in the body is an indication of a supercharged car. |
