Alfa-Romeo 8C 2300 Monza

This Alfa-Romeo 8C 2300 Monza was used by swedish driver Per Wiktor (PeWe) Widengren from 1931 when it was bought new from the factory. It was later converted to mono-posto and the engine rebored to 2,6 litre In 1936 PeWe ended his racing career. The car was sold to Helmer-Carlsson Alsed and raced by him until late 1938. It was found in a very bad condition by Karl-Erik Fröjd in 1956 and renovated by him for 8 years. Above is the car in road trim

Like many other fine cars this one no longer lives in Sweden.
