Elderick "Tiger" Woods was born on December 30, 1975. Tiger Woods is one of junior golfs most accomplished players, winning several major youth titles. Tiger Woods won several junior amatuer titles in 1991, '92, '93. He won amatuer titles in 1994, 95, 96. Tiger Woods is said to be the greatest amatuer golfer in history, winning the NCAA title before going pro in 1996. Tiger Woods turned pro in August 1996, after winning his 3rd straight US Amatuer Championship. Tiger Woods was Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year in 1996. Tiger Wood's PGA Tour Victories in 1997 included : Mercedes Championship, The Masters, The Byron Nelson Classic, Motorola Western Open, Walt Disney World Classic and the Las Vegas Invitational.
