Our current rod came out of the great state of Tennessee. Here is a "before" photo of it at its old resting place. It is the maroon and gold sedan in the foreground. If you look close you might recognize where the car came from.
After buying a new pack of blades for my sawzall, which has over 100,000 miles on it..... hee hee, i went right to work. The rod already had a '67 model 289/automatic combo, corvair front suspension and Ford coil sprung rear all of which seemed in good shape for the first go around. The body, however, had to have a change or two. I chopped the top 5 1/2" and made the doors flush mount.
I also addded power brakes, an air/heat combo, digital dash, and of course a playstation game to play all my favorite DVD concerts in. The game sound is pumped through multiple amplifiers then to the front stage speakers and the 10" sub which is enclosed in a custom made console in the rear. A 6" color monitor tops off the video end.
Although this is not as radicle as I usually go, I wanted something differrent this time......for now. Unless a coupe or a hi-boy comes along, I already have more plans for the rod. Which are more my speed...radical I mean.
Well for now I hope you enjoy looking, and thanks for visiting my site.
