The Story Continues

<bgsound src="keeper.mid" loop=infinite>

Although he retired from this series in 1995, Dick had planned a return to the track in the Pro Truck Series to drive the #0 truck. However, we spoke at the Lee USA Busch North 1997 opening race, and I learned that the person he was to drive for didn't purchase the truck after all.

Below are a few pictures taken during the last 10 years of Dick McCabe's racing career.
This first one was taken on August 19, 1984, on a road course, Bryar, which is now NHIS.

This next picture was taken in February of 1987, when Dick drove at Daytona!!!

This picture shows Dick McCabe racing at the Monadnock racetrack on May 2, 1993. Dick was on the way towards claiming his second of two championships in the Busch North Series.

A typical McCabe pose, according to photographer friend, Dave Koziy,
who took this shot on July 23, 1994.

This last picture marks the end of an era; a long, 30+ year racing career,
that was filled with highs and lows, good times and bad, for Dick McCabe !!!
It was taken after his last race on Sept. 24, 1995 at NHIS, Loudon, NH.
