Engine Bays.

The Jensen FF, was built around a redesigned Jensen CV8 chassis and running gear.
The following Mk3 CV8 engine bay shows some similarity in layout to the FF engine bays that followed:

The following photos show the less than pristine, and fairly original engine bay of Jensen FF 119/036 (despite appearances, the engine runs):

Looking down past the left side exhaust manifold, we can the the propshaft and front differential (The front differential appears to be painted red, but is actually a shade or orange):

The Mk2 and Mk3 FF looked very different to the Mk1 FF engine bay. The most striking differences were the addition of alloy rocker covers and air conditioning,  as can be seen below:

This basic layout was kept for the rest of the life of the FF. When finally the FF production ceased, the SP replaced the FF as Jensen's flagship. This car had the larger 440 cu (7.3 litre) Chrysler engine in high compression form with triple twin choke carburetors. A centre throttle controlled carb fed the engine at low speed, and the two outboard carbs were opened automatically as inlet vacuum rose. Several FF's have been fitted with the triple carb setup over the years, some also taking the 7.3 litre engine too. Shown below is an SP 7.3 engine in an SP. The shorter engine pay is clearly visible, the fans and radiator being that much closer to the block, which did not help air flow and cooling...
