German Jagdtiger
Located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds
This tank (located in the middle of the picture in the white/brown camo scheme) was the most heavily armoured tank that fought in World War II. It is arguably the heaviest tank to see combat. (Some say the enormous Porsche Maus fought the Russians; it weighed in at 188 tons.) It was based on the Royal Tiger chassis and mounted a 128mm gun in a very heavily armoured barbette on the hull. It saw action, yet inferiority in mobility and numbers limited this weapon's potetential.
