U.S. M24 Chaffee
Location Unknown
The M24 was arguably the best light tank of WWII. It was the successor to the M2 through M5 light tank series. A very advanced machine, the M24 had extremely high speeds coupled with a surprisingly good armament and good protection. The Chaffee's 75mm gun was a good weapon capable of firing a wide array of shells. Its running gear was derived from the extremely swift M18 Hellcat tank destroyer, which gave it great mobility. It had sloped armour to increase protection. It was used mainly in the final years of WWII. It was utilized in the Korean War and for many years after before being replaced by the M41 Walker Bulldog.
