Schrick 268 cam Installation

This is one install that I will never do again, too many pieces to remove. It took me 6 hours. Much harder than a 16V.

Just a close up

I really liked these cams. They really change the feel of the car on top and what you lose in low end punch, doesn't feel like all that much. But this is up to debate since most vendors claim that the 268s don't make much more hp that the 260s. Those people also say that you need high lift valve springs, but I sure didn't use any.
Next time I'll go with a regrind copy of the 260s. It runs $100.00 per cam for the machine work. I'm not a big supporter of regrinds, since I've tried them before on a 16V and got weird lifter noise, but I've heard from reliable people that the grind doesn't hurt too much since the lifts are not that crazy.
I'm choosing 260s this time because they would be a better turbo cam.
