Introduction:
-------------
GP2 Cockpit Designer is a program to alter the GP2 Cockpit gauge layout. You can use GP2 Cockpit Designer to place your cockpit gauges anywhere on your cockpit which means you are not bound to the strict GP2 Cockpit layout anymore.

You should find the following files included in the distribution pack:

- CPDesign.Ex_
- CPDesign.Hl_
- Crunch32.DL_
- Grind32.DL_
- Nviewlib.DL_
- Readme.Txt
- Setup.Exe

Note:
If any of the above mentioned files are missing from the install directory you will not be able to start the installation.

Installing GP2 Cockpit Designer:
--------------------------------
Simply doubleclick Setup.Exe from the Windows95 Explorer. The setup program will guide you through the installation of the program.

Important Note:
If you have used a former version of GP2 Cockpit Designer on your system, please make sure you overwrite all existing old GP2 Cockpit Designer files when prompted on installation.

Known bugs in GP2 Cockpit Designer 1.3:
---------------------------------------------------
- If you click the Navigator without having selected a mask you will get an error
- CPD files are not checked for manipulation
- If you create a CPD file with a PCX file which exceeds 150 000 bytes you will not be able to load the created CPD file
- Cockpits color palette will not display correctly when screen resolution is set to 256 colors. For correct display please select a screen resolution of at least high color (16 bit). The incorrect display of the cockpit color palette has no effect on the cockpit when racing in GP2.

Limitations concerning CPD files and PCX file storage:
------------------------------------------------------
- PCX files may not exceed a size of 150 000 bytes

Specific restrictions concerning the LCD Display Unit:
------------------------------------------------------
The LCD Display Unit can only be moved along the Y axis. It is not possible to move the LCD Display Unit along the X axis.

The LCD Display Unit can only be moved as one whole unit, moving the displays such as MPH, Laps etc. individually is not possible.

The maximum top position for the LCD Display Unit of a VGA Cockpit is 126. It is not possible to move the LCD Display Unit above this point, neither using the mouse nor the navigator.

The maximum top position for the LCD Display Unit of an SVGA Cockpit is 0.
