One of my favorite years, I was lucky a friend turned me on to this one. It was in pretty bad need of some help when I got it. In fact when I went to pick it up the guy told me the ball joints were......... "real bad".... I asked "how Bad?".........He asked "how far you going?"...........I said 13 miles or so.........He said "might hold".

All it really needed was Everything!.��Floors, top, etc were real clean though. I took it down to nothing and rebuilt all of it.Paint was, Guards Red Lacquer with a Lacquer Clear Coat. I buffed my butt off on this one.The first rendition of the engine was a 70 LT-1, Angle plug heads,cam, all the goodies.But, I must admit the more I drove it, the more I wanted to drive it. So I started to De-Tune it.In the end it was getting around 16 mpg , and still quick enough to be fun!
