In September, 2002, I
made a fateful decision. I decided I was not really happy in my current
"relationship" and decided to open my horizons. In today's
modern age, one does not venture into a bar and expect to pick up more
than a simple disease. No, today's singles bar is called "Match.com".
So I took a chance and placed a posting of myself and my interests on this
site (to include the picture on the front page of this site). Then I sat
back and waited.
I received many a reply. Some of them were even female. Some of those
could even be characterized as human. But one response struck me...it was
from someone preaching the "cuteness" of her niece. It was at
that moment I lost connectivity to my email for a week or two. When I was
able to access again, I went to delete all that had accumulated. To this
day I do not know why but that email stuck out and instead of deleting it,
I decided to reply.
Through her Aunt, I was soon introduced to Sheree'. We talked over
email a few times and arranged to meet at On
the Border on October 30, 2002. We met and talked for an hour or so
until she had to retrieve her own youngins. I would like to say I fell in
love with her the first moment I saw her inside the restaurant but I
can't. Actually we introduced ourselves as she was coming out of and I was
going into the bathroom. No, I fell in love with her the moment I drove up
and saw her get out of her car and head into the restaurant.
The next day I decided my quest had ended. This lady was special and
deserved my full attention. Now, this is not to say she does not have
certain "character traits" which can be endearing. She is a
country-reared girl and has all the "fixuns" which come with
that. Ask her to pronounce "Best Buy" sometime. You will get
something like "Best Bah".
To know more her, consult the page I have reserved for her to fill out.
UPDATE!!!
On
December 24, 2003, I asked Sheree' to be my wife and she obliged. We are
set to be married on May 7, 2004...ish. Here is our Wedding Web
