Projects under way at the moment

I have lots of ideas and so verry little time to actually
do anything about most of them. The following gives you some idea of what
is in the pipeline at the moment. (in something like the order I hope to
complete/start them)
- Completly strip the 998 cooper Replica, remove all the
paint and cut out and replace any rot with new metal. Treat all of the
metal with a good rust inhibitor and primer (I use Comma Stop Rust) the
underside and inner arches will then get a good few heavy coats of a rubberised
paint. Prime the rest of the shell and apply a nice coat of twin pack paint
(White with a Black roof). All of the mechanical components will then be
cleaned, painted and bolted onto the shell. Estimated time to do this about
6 months of the odd evening and weekend when I get the chance.
- Do the same again to the 1000cc Clubman, except this
time the paintwork will be cellulose (white again) and particular detail
will be taken to ensure that ALL of the parts are original. Estimated time
to complete is again 6 months.
- While this lot is going on I intent to be working on
the 1275GT bare shell I have. Hopefully the finished spec will look something
like this (I have most of the bits already)
- 1340 Turbo engine
- Intercooled
- Oil Cooled
- Fully mapped electronic ignition of my own design
- Possibly a fully mapped fuel injection system, also of
my own design
- MG Metro Turbo Disk brakes on the front
- Std. GT Disk brakes on the rear (I intent to tow with
it a lot)
- 12" Minilights
- Fully adjustable suspension
- Custom Interior hopefully including Recaro Seats from
something likek a Ford RS Turbo with the rears trimmed to match
- HUGE Stereo
- Custom Dashboard
Apart from all of this I also have to keep the 1275GT
I run all of the time on the road, and I think it's nearly time for a new
engine again :-(
