Marc Broussard goes from opener to headliner this fall

Singer-songwriter Marc Broussard backs his new EP during a headlining club tour that follows his show-opening run on Maroon 5's latest road trip.

Broussard launches his solo jaunt in Mississippi on Halloween, one week after he surrenders his opening slot on the Maroon 5 tour. In addition to his headlining dates, he'll also turn up at New Orleans' Voodoo Music Experience festival on Nov. 2.

"Momentary Setback," Broussard's debut EP for Columbia Records, landed in stores in July. Broussard's father, Ted--with whom Broussard began performing at age 5--plays guitar on the set.

"There's nobody better to have playing with me," Broussard said in a statement. "My parents always helped me stay on the right track. "I have knowledge of a higher power and I want to put forth a positive message in my music."

Streaming samples of all eight tracks housed on "Momentary Setback" are posted at Broussard's website.
