 Born on 30 August 1909. Graduated from the 7th Class of the Szkoly Podoficerow Lotnictwa in Deblin. In 1936, for disciplinary reasons (destroyed plane performing illegal stunt) moved from the fighter squadron to a training unit. Took part in the Polish campaign commanding small liaison unit flying RWD8s. After evacuation through Romania and France, came to England. Before being posted to No 300 Squadron in Bramcote on June 1940, trained at 15 OTU Redhill, 18 OTU Hucknall and 24 OTU Penhors. After the first operational tour (30 missions on Wellingtons) detailed off to command No 307 Squadron stationed at Clyst Honiton.
Killed during night training flight at Exeter, on 21 March 1943, flying DH Mosquito Mk II, DZ 261 together with radio observer F/Lt Szkop. Buried at the Higher Cemetery in Exeter, tomb ZK177.
