| It all started in a chatroom. Someone started a conversation about prosthetic knuckles. They said that Barbie knees were being used to make knuckles for those...knuckle impaired. For some reason this struck me as incredibly cool (maybe cause I was 12 years old) and I thought the two words together sounded really cool. Also, I like to dismember Barbie dolls so the name was fitting. The misspelling of knuckle...well, that was a mistake at first. I created an email acount with the alias "Prosthetic_Knuckle" but for some reason it wouldnt let me login and check my email. So, I signed up again, but this time I needed to change it slightly. Hence, the dropped "K" in knuckle. I just kept using Prosthetic Nuckle on everything after that. And so the truth is now out. |
| If you didn't bother to read those surveys...my name is Jessie Leigh Moffett. I am a 16 year old junior at Shelby County High in Shelbyville, Kentucky. I like to draw, play guitar, watch tv, and "surf the web" almost 24/7. Ive got 4 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a turtle. That turtle, named Mona, just so happens to be the new SCHS A-Team mascot. Yes, thats right, I'm on the Academic team. Whoda thunk it? Music: I like punk, metal, techno, industrial, grunge, hardcore...just about anything. I like some country as I was raised on country and old rock. I like some rap, but most of it I give the label "Retards Attempting Poetry". My favorite band is Green Day, mostly because I can play their music on the guitar. I might eventually make a list of all my favorite bands, but it would take a while so don't expect it anytime soon. Art: I love Tim Burton-esque art, dark, gothic, and scary. I also like H.R.Giger for his gothic sci fi art. Jhonen Vasquez is my favorite artist, with good reason. If you don't already know (and if you don't you really should find some of his work) Jhonen created "Invader Zim", "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac", "Squee", and "Devi" among others. I have the collectors edition JTHM book, with all 7 comics...and I must have read it at least 50 times. Its very gruesome humor, not suitable for youngins. I like fantasy art, such as fairies and dragons and wizards and the like. I also like SciFi, as I am addicted to Aliens and conspiracy theories. Check out my art on Distributed Intellect, a fantastic site. Games: I'm a "Classic Gamer", but not by choice. Our first system was an NES...oh what a glorious thing it was/is. If I remember correctly, we have 79 games for it...though only a few ever get played. The few I play most often are Tetris, Galaga, Kirby's Dreamland, Final Fantasy (black mage! *swoon), Mario (1,2,3), and Dr. Mario. We have a million more but I keep these out, making them easier to get to. Tetris and Galaga are my favorites by far, but that may be because I'm not very good at anything else. In arcades, My favorite games are Pacman (usually I have to resort to Mrs. Pacman, as the arcades never have the real one) and Galaga. I love the machine at the Stonybrook movie theater--Mrs. Pacman and Galaga, together. My first arcade experiences I can remember were with my dad, playing pinball (in the arcade above the bar he worked at as a bartender) and I love pinball machines. I love Tekken 2 and 3, but I'm better at them on console than at the arcade. I love to watch people play DDR and other games that require movement, but I myself would rather stay still. I'm too embarassed to play in front of people, and I'm not too coordinated. We also have a Playstation, with a few good games (Tekken 2 and 3, Final Fantasy 7, Tony Hawk 2, Dead or Alive, Parasite Eve, and some others). I don't play Playstation that often. As for PC gaming...well, I don't have that many good PC titles. I love Starcraft and Warcraft (WC3 is out, but its oh so expensive). I play Duke Nukem, Doom, or Hexen every once in a great while. I just bought Oni for PC (not having a PS2, and wanting to play), and we have a few other games (Spiderman, which my mom bought though we had it on PS). ZSNES is always a great time killer...I play Tetris 3. I never got a new GameBoy, so I still have my gigantic gray old school GameBoy that I bought off some hustler kid (The game boy had some random kids name on it in marker) for 15 bucks, with 2 games (Donkey Kong, no longer working past the 1st level, and Mortal Kombat, which I traded to my brother for something later on). I am ashamed of myself for it, but I like Poke'mon Pinball...but only because its a pinball game, I swear! I love a good FPS...but woe is me, I suck at them. I have fun watching other people play though, luckily for me. I add more, if I can think of more, later. |
