Physical Description : light blue skin, purple eyes, dark purple hair, wings that look like a butterflies, and a vine thorn-like tattoo on the right arm. white tanktop-like top, draped loincloth. Sandal like wrappings on her legs.
Lyra does not know anything of her true past, only that she was an orphan living in Los Angeles. She was in a human form until the age of 17, when she morphed into a gargoyle right on prom night.
The change must have been triggered by her anger when she got into a fight with a bully who gave her a bad time at the prom. After her transformation, she ran away from home, and found shelter in an old church.
She later tries to find out things about her roots, and discovers a relative at a cemetary. There she meets Pyxis, a gargoyle dog that guarded the grave of some ancestor of hers. There too she finds a journal that clues her into who she is, and what her destiny is.
She is a gaurdian gargoyle, and must follow in her ancestors footsteps, protecting all races from the darkness, with the power of the light within. Lyra still needs to master her powers, but does have experience in martial arts. She carries a medalion with the figures of a human and a gargoyle on it. This piece helps her change back into a human in emergencies, however she cannot hold this form for long.
Lyra's current mission was to stop the vampire clan in Spain from rampage of blood lust in the small towns. Unfortunatley her battle is unvictorious, and she is later hunted by the vampire clan.
Feeling lonely she wanders from country to country, hoping to find others like herself.
