Unfortunately My Dad Has Left the Team, Therefore I Will

No Longer Be Updating The Site

My Dad has left the football team which means he won't see games, results, players etc.  Therefore I see no reason to carry on updating this site unless somebody from the new team wants me to carrying on doing it all you have to do is contact me, I know it's being a while.  Good luck to the new management structure.

1-1-8 Got Your Number

Greif AFC's record at the moment is 118 from ten matches played.  Remember the advert with the two runners, maybe the players and manager should give them a call ask them for some good luck, and the number for success, then see what happens next Sunday, if it's another defeat then everybody will be left mystified, as to why the team aren't winning games after a good season last term.

Greif Players Making Hard For Themselves

Greif AFC u16's priority is to avoid relegation to the next league.  But after suffering a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Springhead Rangers it has left them six points from safety having played a game more.  Greif have six league games and they have to take something from every game, preferably three points.  The team should have no worries as there is the quality there to produce the results, every team needs some luck to succeed and that is what Greif are lacking at the moment.

Missed Chances Cost Greif

Greif AFC were up against fellow strugglers Cottingham Rangers, a win would of given Greif a good chance of surviving.  Unfortunately that wasn't the case as they came from 2 down to draw 2-2.  Okay you might say the team were lucky to score a point, Although that shouldn't of being the case as Danny Green confirmed that Greif missed many opportunities to score and it was the opposing goalkeeper who kept Cottingham Rangers in it.  Callum Taylor was the only Greif player to score as a Cottingham player scored an own goal (just like Stuart Elliott at the KC on Saturday).

Where Do Greif Go From Here

At the start of the season Greif were Greif were one of the favourites to challenge for promotion, but it just hasn't happened and the team suffered another setback losing to 7-0 to top of the table Beverley Town.  Don't get me wrong there is a lot of good teams in the league, the team just hasn't got the positive results.  In some games decisions have gone against the team like goals disallowed, penalties not given.  The team can't use this as an excuse as it happens to everybody of the course of the season.  There is a long battle ahead, to avoid relegation, the lads can do it there is the potential, a few goals and things will change.
