CB as he is known in London is the Red Caboose to the rest of the world. Production note wise it should be noted why in the heck was he renamed what he is everywhere else? we dont know. While other peoples names are reminiscent of their car style it is not as though you see them yelling hey union pacific how are you? to grease ball. For the sake of this web page and those who have not seen or heard the London production we will be calling him Red Caboose. Red Caboose (Or Caboose for short) is one of the most complicated if not THE most complicated character in the whole of Starlight Express. He is both compassionate towards the heart broken Dinah and strangely psychotic when it comes to everyone else. Several people have their own opinions granted as to the reasoning for this behavior. Some speculate he does not care for Dinah at all and is only trying to get close so he can wreck her as he does everyone else. Some wonder why he enjoys wrecking everyone else from a psychological standpoint this could be because he is always in the back and in response to never getting to lead he takes charge of a situation in this manor without being the lead or it could be he was in a crash as a trainlett and it just stuck with him to be psychotic. No matter the reason Caboose is to say the very least two faced. This is not because he cant decide a side to work for it is because as he puts it Im on my side and will there by look out for number one (which is the same number public enemy he is.) He has been involved with countless robberies and train wrecks but no one ever suspects the innocent smile of the breaking car.
