Unspoken Look
I’ve looked into those eyes before
But now there’s something beyond them
Something you try to hide, an unspoken look…
I see a pain unknown to everyone, but yourself
A hidden need, a want of something missing
Something not easy to gain, an unspoken longing…
You look at millions a day hiding it
& how perfectly it works on them, not me
I see beyond the mask, to an unspoken truth…
It’s not easily spoken, but your eyes tell all
Now your eyes grow aware, your secret it out
Cause I know all about, that unspoken look
