Laughter in the dark
Joy in my heart
Quickly seemed to fade
All the fights we made
Long comforting talks
Into quiet lonesome walks
Such soft words you spoke
Such a strong heart now broke
Promises made
Consequences paid
Joy filled years
Now endless tears
Never knew to be me
Anger helped me to see
Things given away
No longer hear to stay
Once my companion
Now abandoned
