Dream Lover
One night really late in bed
Some dreams started in my head
I dreampt of a love that I knew
and wish that he would love me too
Only in my mind I'd find
A funny man with eyes so kind
The voice of an angel & sweet smile too
But I needed to know if this love was true
In my dream we are in bed
As as I lay down my weary head
He whispers in my ears so sweet
this promise of love he will keep
As I begin to close my eyes
I wake up & to my suprise
I'm in my room & alone again
& as I look around my den
There it is upon the wall
A picture taken just last fall
It's the boy in my dream
But this time it's different, we're a team
Memories of our friendship & days gone by
And as I look into his soft eyes
I see a friend I use to know
Who always let his love show
But he is always on the go
& now it's time to let him know
All these feelings that are so true
These feelings are only for you
Now I've found what I'm looking for
All these feelings I can't ignore
I'll say it once, & I mean it true
