Our inner most feelings deepest of thoughts we shared by the hour

Mine deeply hidden, I released them to you as if in your power

Always exploring the vastness of each others mind

The merging of thoughts...we knew ours would bind

Waiting for each other...I would call you...or you would call me

Growing ever fonder, we knew where the other would be

So close became our bond, it's as if we existed as one

I knew that without you my life never would have begun

Promising you’ll never let me down, for me you’ll always be here

Promising I too...will never let you down, I will always be sincere

Only to you I could trust and confide my greatest of fears

Always you knew how to stop all my rivers of tears

An unexpected message you sent me one lonely sad day

Saying, don’t worry a few days you’ll just be away

Now days into months my rings of chained sadness won’t fade

No “will” to go on...unsure how my lonely path will be made

Now never trusting, always watchful …of everyone now wary

Not to anyone will my feelings and thoughts ever carry

Forever all hidden in the deepest places that I cannot find

Now trusting no one and feeling so terribly blind

All locked up in the darkest of caverns which I will never let go

I know I should have never have trusted anyone so

Now my wall is built up and my heart is sealed tightly away

All mine to this very sad day

Safe...but so very alone...
