| This picture, done on a manuscript shows scenes from the life of Christ. The large scene is Christ hanging on the Cross. Around it are smaller images of his life before that time. The manuscript was made for Matthias, the King of Hungary, for whom attavante worked for 30 years. In 1526, Queen Mary of Hungary (widow of Louis II of Hungary) fled with the manuscript to the Netherlands. Today it is located in the Biblioth�que Royale Albert 1er in Brussels. | ||||||||||||||||
