| Antico is really a widespread nickname for Pier Jacopo Alari Bonacolsi, an Italian goldsmith, sculptor and medal-worker from the late Medieval era. His nickname came from his art, which was mostly in the style of old (Antique, or as they said "Antico") greek sculpture. He was born in c. 1460 in Mantova, Italy and died in Mantova in 1528. |
