| This fresco was between the years of 1365 and 1368 in the Cappella Spagnuolo, Santa Maria Novella, Florence, Italy. The image shows a social heirarchy. First the Pope, then Emperor and King, a prince, a general and a bishop. Then friars and laymen; then noblemen and knights, a merchant, a scholar, finally women and the impoverished. | ||||||||||||||||
