Countles bootleg recordings of Lennon's outtakes and unreleased material are available all over the internet. The serious collector would only need 'The May Pang Tapes' and 'A Toot and a Snore in 74' to capture a sense of the studio atmosphere during the Lost Weekend sessions. The remainder are essentially a rehash of previously available bootlegs and are fairly useless... neither collectable nor listenable.

The only other worthwhile collections of outakes and unreleased material (covering the whole of Lennon's solo career) are 'Menlove Avenue' (Walls and Bridges/Rock 'n' Roll sessions) plus the 'John Lennon Anthology' box set.

It is noteworthy however that Volume 2 of 'You Should'a Been There' (4-Disc-Set) launches the Lost Weekend era into the Ipod age... a MP3 version.

Tracks 2, 10, 14 and 15 are actually omited because they appear on the official release of 'Menlove Avenue'... and tracks 11, 12, 13 and 18 are omitted because they appear on the 'John Lennon Anthology' box set. But often they are reinserted by bootleggers (on the Bit Torrent websites) copying this collection.

It's rather curious why Elton John should be included on the cover. Lennon did indeed perform with Elton during the Lost Weekend but Elton had nothing to do with the Rock 'n' Roll sessions.
