To read this text file, use resolution 800x600 full screen (or more) and set wordwrap on (in Wordpad; View - Options - Text - Word wrap - Wrap to window) (in Notepad; Edit - Word Wrap).

The files in this zip file contain scenery enhancement for BAO's EUROPE1 Schiphol Airport.

By adding these files to your EUROPE1 scenery you will get 19 gates (C6B, C11, C12, C13, C14, C16, D5, D6, D24, E5, E6, E11, F4, F5, F9, G5, G6, G8, G9) at Schiphol Aiport at wich you can park your jet aircraft (There are also some double gates for the big aircraft).
Each seperately numbered gate consists of an aviobridge and a (working) docking system. There are two docking systems; SafeGate and the Agnis Papa system. Furthermore at some gates a (simplified) marshaller will await you.
You will also see a picture of the interior of the building in front of you wich is illuminated during dusk and night.
The position of the gate is approx. its position in the real world, and so are its dimensions.
When you taxi in after landing (the gates will appear when you get in range) there is a yellow line on the apron (a dotted green line during dusk and night) wich will help you to get on to the right course in to the gate. When you get closer you will see a docking sign wich will tell you to go left or right and when to stop. Try it out and you will get the idea!
Also I've added some buildings wich I think are the most important around Schiphol Center wich are in view when parking your aircraft. Not nearly all buildings are added but maybe I will make some more in the future (I don't want the framerate to drop too much). The buildings will sometimes have a undesired 'see trough effect', I think this is a limitation of Flight Simulator and I haven't found a solution for this problem. Also you will find that everything is best viewed 'from the cockpit'. If you view from the spot plane some objects will miss certain sides, I have done this to save frames, things you don't see from the cockpit I didn't draw.
Furthermore you can install dotted taxilines to the original Europe1 taxiways. I've chosen dotted yellow lines during the day because I think it helps to control your taxispeed and when you are on final they look better than yellow lines.

INSTALLATION:

You can make your own choice wich scenery elements you want to install! Remember to make a backup of your original files!!!
If you have installed EHAMGAT3.ZIP remove all its files!

1. Unzip all files in a temporary directory.
2. Move the BGL files you want to use to your EUROPE1 SCENERY directory
3. Move the texture files needed to your EUROPE1 TEXTURE directory. (except the RUNWAY02.r8
wich goes to the MAIN TEXTURE directory).

EHAM.ZIP contains the following files;

ALL_GATE.BGL - contains 19 gates with their docking systems and marshallers.
Needs the following texture files : EHAMGAT4.01
                                                        EHAMGAT4.02
                                                        EHAMGAT4.03
                                                        EHAMGAT4.04
                                                        EHAMGAT4.05
                                                        EHAMGAT4.06
                                                        EHAMGAT4.07

SPL-MISC.BGL - Some add-on buildings and light poles.
Needs the following texture file : SPL-MISC.R8
                                                        EUR1_002.EU1 (the original or
                                                                      the replacement)

TAXILINE.BGL - taxi dots yellow during day-time (ONLY compatible with the standard
Europe 1 Schiphol taxiways) and the grass areas on the CD, DE and
                    EF platforms.
Needs the following texture file : EHAMSOIL.R8

NTAXILIN.BGL - taxi dots blue during night-time (ONLY compatible with the standard
                    Europe 1 Schiphol taxiways)
                    Needs no texture files.

TAXI_19R.BGL - You will need this file if you install the taxiline file. It adds
the taxiway next to runway 19R wich is not present in the standard
Europe1 sceney. This taxiway is a little displaced to avoid the
localizer antenna standing in the middle of it.
                    Needs no texture files.

NL_BEACH.BGL - At this time only covers the beaches from Hoek van Holland to
Den Helder (modified texture-file from the Portugal scenery by Luis
Vieira de Sa', Carlos Pimentel and Miguel "Kispo" (PORTUG98.ZIP)
                    credits to them))
Needs the following texture file : NL_BEACH.R8

EUR1_002.EU1 - This is a replacement texture file for the original file in your
EUROPE1 TEXTURE directory (make a backup of the original file first).
When you choose to install this file the buildings on witch the gates
are located will seem to be illuminated at dusk and night.

EUR1_016.EU1 - This is a replacement texture file for the original file in your
EUROPE1 TEXTURE directory (make a backup of the original file first).
When you choose to install this file the windows of the main control
tower are illuminated at dusk and night.

RUNWAY_02.R8 - This is a replacement texture file for the original file in your
MAIN TEXTURE directory. (make a backup of the original file first).
It makes the runways at Schiphol look darker, like they are at the
real Schiphol. Unfortunately it also affects the runways at some
other airports. So if you dont't want that to happen then don't
                   install this file.

Thanks to Enrico Schiratti for writing Scenery Maker, the program which made it possible for me to make this scenery. Further thanks to BAO for EUROPE1, wich supplied the Schiphol scenery without wich my gates would look very strange, standing somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Thanks to the makers of PORTUG98.ZIP for their great beach texture and finally thanks to Frans Spruit for Beta testing the scenery and Jerry Bent for supplying me with information about the docking systems.

                                and FINALLY
                                ___________
