DESCRIPTION

This panel is patterned after the DC10 as operated
by a major US airline. The instruments are actually
a hybrid of DC10 and KC10 instruments. The layout
has been modified for functionality with FS98.

This panel is a "Semi-photorealistic" panel. The
Semi is because each instrument has been retouched
and resized before insterting into the hand drawn
background. This makes for a much more readable and
overall functional panel.

This panel was designed in 1024x768 resolution. It
works very well in 800x600 full screen mode. It
will work with 3D cards.

PANEL FEATURES

1. Accurate instrument layout.
   - Features a tape style radio altimiter that is
found in many commercial jet liners.
   - The main instruments are in the 100% correct
       locations.
2. Accurate autopilot that has been modified to
      work better in FS98.
3. Accurate engine gauges.
4. ADI and HSI are very close to 100% accurate.
   - The ADI features Glideslope and Localizer info
      incorporated.
   - Also a Fast/Slow gauge is on the left side. This
tells you if you are faster or slower than the
speed set in the autopilot panel.
5. Switchable overhead panel.
   - The DC10 has huge window and to simulate this
the upper panel is not displayed. To toggle
the upper panel use Shift-3 or click on the
aircraft ID at the bottom right corner.
6. Autopilot annunciators
   - Across the top of the ADI the autopilot
       functions are annunciated.
7. NAV Signal type indicator.
   - Next to the HSI there is a box that indicates
       ILS or VOR signal.
   - Also there is a backcourse (BC) indicator as
well if selected on the autopilot panel.
8. Swithable DME indicator.
   - Below the VSI you can select DME 1 or 2 to
be displayed along with the time-to-station
       readout.
9. International Altimeter option.
   - For my international friends I have provided a
main altimeter that reads MB instead of HG.
