767 MODIFIED FLIGHT DIRECTOR TYPE AID
_____________________________________

The 767 v6.4 has a completely reprogrammed ADI from Christian Kgler. In it we are making the first steps toward a Flight Director system. Please read on toward the bottom for an explanation of some of the advances we have made and where we are going with this. Now the FD we have come up with is not a true FD. It is a NAV/ILS inidication system that can be turned on/off with a mouse click!!!! Take a look at the pictures below for an explanation of what we will be offering.

On the autopilot panel there is a graphic of a Flight Director on/off switch. The switch does not work, but there is a mouse click area there to toggle on/off the command bars. Take a look at the pictures below for what the ADI looks like with the FD bars on and off!

Keep in mind that these bars only indicate NAV/LOC and GS information. They do not command anything. We are working on that ;-). The ADI below shows you when you have a VOR tuned in. Only the NAV information is shown (the GS is gone because not active). Therefore you can use this thing enroute if you like....or just turn it off!!!

Included as an option is the original looking pitch indicator (flying V below). In the real 767 operated by AA this is the way the pitch bars look....however the FD system has a different indicator (another V). We have not figured out how to make the V type FD bars. I made the other ADI with the 737 type pitch indicator (above) as standard because with this type of FD system it just looks better.

Keep a watch on my website for any future developments and updates:
