And Then She Was There - possible part two

I was sitting, alone, cold. That's when she came. She brought with her a breeze of warmth. Most unusual in the early days of January. She seemed to glide, her feet barely touching the ground. She walked with such grace you'd have thought her a princess. But I knew better.

Then it was summer and she was gone. We accepted her, but they did not. She would still be with us, if it weren't for them. They made her leave. If she could have helped it, she would have stayed. But it wasn't up to her, which is not what they would have said.
