Photos of Mark McKenna

That's my Mum, Helen, and me and but this time I must only be about 1 year old.

That's my Mum, Helen, and me and I guess I must only be about 18 months old.
I think this photo was taken when I was about 3 years old and I can't even remember if that dog was mine or someone elses.

This is a school photograph taken when I was about 7. Don't know where all that hair is now!
I've got to say that I really hate this photo but my Mum thinks it's really nice! The only other thing I can say is that the hair is shocking!

A publicity photograph taken in the Art Gallery of South Australia for a production of Ruddigore (Gilbert and Sullivan Society of South Australia, Adelaide, 1984). This was my first "lead" role playing Dick Dauntless.

"Here's A Howdy Do"from The Mikado (Gilbert and Sullivan Society of South Australia, Adelaide, 1991).
Ko-Ko (Andrew Crayford), Yum-Yum (Sally Harrison) and Nanki-Poo (Mark McKenna).
Me and my friends Andrew Young (L) and David Adams (R) in our costumes for Nixon In China (State Opera, Adelaide, 1992).
Me in my costume from Macbeth (State Opera, Adelaide, 1993).
That's me playing the part of Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance (Gilbert and Sullivan Society of South Australia, Adelaide, 1993).

One of the early scenes from Act 1 of Carmen. Lyric Opera Queensland, 1995. I'm standing with my arms folded.

This is the scene from Carmen (Lyric Opera Queensland, 1995) that I was talking about in one of my anecdotes. These are the costumes that entire chorus had 4 minutes or so to change into. I'm the third man from the left.
This is the theatre I performed Carmen at in the South of England in 1995. You can see a couple of people wearing the green plastic ponchos I was talking about.

This is one of the "dirtiest" shows I ever did. The Pearl Fishers (State Opera, Adelaide, 1996). That's me and fellow singer, Mirian Gordon, covered in body paint. There was always a race for the showers when the curtain came down after each of the performances!
That's me on the left in my "beetle" costume as we used to call in for a production of Turandot (State Opera, Adelaide, 1996). They were great.

This is me and my very good friend, Deb Caddy, in our costumes for Die Fledermaus (State Opera, Adelaide, 1999).
A scene from Die Fledermaus (State Opera, Adelaide, 1999).

A backstage shot of another dear friend, Sally Harrison, and me taken during The Mikado (State Opera, Adelaide, 1999). Sally was quite often my "leading lady" in shows we did together with The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of South Australia.
The final pose for "Behold the Lord High Executioner" The Mikado (State Opera, Adelaide, 1999). I'm kneeling at the front on the right hand side.

This is the scene from Cosi Fan Tutte (State Opera, Adelaide, 2000). I'm the scary looking man sitting down with the horns painted on my head. This was the time I had yellow make up all over my upper body.
Me in my costume from Cosi Fan Tutte (State Opera, Adelaide, 2000).
Me in my half and half costume for the party scene of Romeo and Juliet (State Opera, Adelaide, 2000).

The Mansion scene from Annie 2000/2001. That's me on the right hand side of the Mona Lisa.
A photograph of the Radio Scene from Annie 2000/2001. Daddy Warbucks (Anthony Warlow) and a concerned looking Bert Healy (Mark McKenna)
