Sean's Poem
Sean's Poem

'Twas but only a moment ago
When I touched your weary lips
Held thy face between my hands
And sealed thy lips
With a bone-chilling kiss.
You have but to ask,
My bonnie lass,
If ever you should want
And there I'll be
With outstretched arms
Full of love and want.

Thine beautiful hair,
Silk, stranded in the wind.
Thine sweet, sweet lips,
Tasting of honey, pouring forth
As a spring from yonder mountain.
And thine beautiful eyes, dearest one,
So full of stars
I could be in Heaven.
I thank God, my forever guiding light,
For sending this goddess,
For sending you into my life.
And if ever you should leave me
Here and all alone
I shall flee to the highest mountain
Condemning myself to death.

But for now, you are here,
Safe in my arms
And for as long as I have breath,
It is in my arms
You shall stay.
I wrote this poem for my ex-boyfriend to turn in for a grade our sophemore year. It ended up being about his than-girlfriend. love you Sean.
