The moonlight sending glows of its precious rays
Dancing across my dark room,
Shining faintly on my sleeping form,
This rare ray of moonlight
Catches me dreaming of you.
It�s like you�re here beside me,
Holding me in your strong arms,
Shielding me from the harsh cold
Of this dreary world.
A world in which
No one word could convey
How much I love you.
In my dreams, I replay
The night I fell hopelessly in love.
The band was playing loud,
My ears constantly ringing
And there you were
Beside me.
Those eyes; pools of emotion
So full of love.
That smile; so bright
It could outshine the sun itself.
And your hair, blowing restlessly in the wind
Like a hundred Cimarron stallions,
So soft and touchable,
I was drawn to carress it,
And run it between my fingers.
The game below us
Made no difference anymore.
Our eyes; locked with one another,
A silent proclamation of love being exchanged.
"I love you."

This poem was written for a classmate of mine my sophemore year...it was her gift to her boyfriend for their anniversary. Two years later, they're still going strong. Josh & Courtney...forever.
