11/25 - TCLUSTER AKC Trial - Springfield, MA - Excellent A JWW Q1
I walked the course 3 ways, with all Front Crosses, all Rear Crosses, and all Blind Crosses.
Since Magic was having motivational problems, I planned on running it with Blind Crosses.
It was tough with all the 90� turns. I saw Julie Daniels and Spring run the course with all
Front Crosses and decided to run it that way. Magic broke her stay and I ran with her.
Magic ran well, except that after Jump 7,
she started to sniff. The tape clearly showed that I had done my cross too far from
Jump 8. She thought I was doing a Blind Cross to back-jump 14. Therefore she switched
leads over Jump 7 and started to turn to her right. When I Front Crossed, she thought
that she had erred. So she started to shut down and put her nose to the ground. She
started to slow down in the Weaves, but I told her "good".
Finally her first Excellent leg. It took 7 months.
