7/28 - Y-Agility USDAA Trial - at Letchworth State Park, NY - Starters Standard Q1
Magic has a great run. Starters Standard 148 yds, 65 SCT, 56.95 seconds, 2.60 yps,
2/11, 2/17 w/Novice Q1. Magic does dwell a little in the tunnel. She is not
stopping at the end of the dogwalk. She is entered in Steeplechase, but dwells
in tunnel again and pops out of the weave poles, then wanders off. However it
is my fault since she has to poop and pee. She wont do them when I have food
in my hand, so I need to do that without food. She took two practice jumps
prior to Standard run and had rescue and steak.
Donna comes to watch her run. Donna is the person who found Magic in Rochester.
She picked Magic out of the litter because Magic was following her around.
There were no Labs available near me at that time. She met me in Albany and
handed her over to me.
Magic is now ready to jump 22", so we are in Competition class (and out of P1).
At a couple of the prior trials, I had banged the side of the Tunnel when she dwelt
in them. That seemed to get her out right away. I also practiced at home and lifted
the entry side of the Tunnel.
