I AM A DANCER Dancing for me is a way of My best influence though, came from a little child of four
and I will always consider myself lucky that
I was exposed to this beautiful
form of expression from a very early age
....3 to be exact!
I am, or rather was, termed a "professional" dancer
from the age of 16.
Here in South Africa, you are either paid to do shows
~ which I was ~
or you compete, and work your way up the ranks
until you have ultimately proved
that you are capable of bestowing what little talent you have on the world
~ which I have done too! ~
expressing everything!
I have been influenced by the absolute
brilliance of the likes of
Nureyev
Fred Astaire
Gene Kelly
Barisychnikov
and thousands more!
who's only dream was to be the best she could be
to be able to reach her own sense of stardom
to loose herself in the rythm of the music
and pretend that this is how beautiful life is
and I did....I made that dream come true
if only for myself!
