Here's a good way to sell the local record store which refuses to spend any money!
Very easy and we've all heard of this one! Play new stuff, take calls, (like or hate,) from the listeners!
Keep winning songs in rotation (PD's) losing songs get burned at the stake!
Sponsor the segment by the local store and put the blame on them for giving you a horrible new release to debut on the air, or give them the credit for an awsome new tune and remind listeners to pick it up there when they go to look for it. Throw in a couple of spots and a live jock pormo throughout the day and ta-da!
You've made the hard sell, let's pray the listeners like the new music, and maybe you can go back in six months and sell a bigger contract! Annual?
