Magic's Top 10 White Legends

By Fetar

10. Commander Eesha
Commander Eesha didn't have too much competition to get on this list, the runner ups being Major Teroh and Lieutenant Kirtar plus some Mirage legends. But Commander Eesha is slightly more efficient and a great creature by itself, being a 2/4 flier for four mana, not to mention it has protection from every creature on the board.

9. Radiant, Archangel
Radiant can be the meat of flying decks, getting bonuses from both yours and your opponents' flying creatures, and works on both attack/defense every turn. All for a good mana-cost and overall a fairly good card.

8. Atalya, Samite Master
Atalya is a decent legend, but not absolutely devasting. The ability is a little slow and can only accept white mana, but she is a good way to stay alive in multiplayer. 2/3 is a bit small for five mana but if you get a chance to activate the ability, its pretty good if you have accumulated a lot of land.

7. Gerrard Capashen
Another really explosive legend, Gerrard allows you to get back in the game every turn with conditional lifegain. Unfortunately, his second ability is slightly expensive to use often but even so he is a 3/4 with a great ability.

6. Cho-Manno, Revolutionary
One word: Pariah. The card is just as good on its own, but allowing you to prevent all damage that would be dealt to yourself is a wonderful combo. Dawn Elemental is far better than Cho but couldn't make it onto this list due to lack of legendary status.

5. Reya Dawnbringer
Reya Dawnbringer is just plain fun. Not only do you get a 4/6 flier but you can get another big card from your graveyard to play every turn! Drop huge white creatures (See below) into your graveyard with something like Patrol Hound and throw them on the board one at a time for a great game. Unfortunately, the card costs a whopping nine mana and couldn't make it that much higher up the list.

4. Jareth, Leonine Titan
"THIS GUY IS FREAKING HUGE!" - Trouble Fish. Now this card is efficient: for a meager six mana, Jareth leads a great defense as an 11/14 invulnerable blocker and can't be killed by the other pesky legends of the block. On the other hand, Jareth can break through defenses with protection for four damage a turn. Either way this Legend makes an excellent addition to large creature white decks.

3. Mageta the Lion
Though vulnerable and unusable his first turn in play, Mageta becomes a Wrath of God at will that can be used innumerable times. The player, or players, on the recieving end of the line can be thrown into an easy stalemate if they have no creatures in play and with other cards (creature destruction), Mageta can just as well be your game winning card.

2. Akroma, Angel of Wrath
A huge card with basically every playable keyword ability in the game, for a pile of mana. This thing is devestating as soon as it hits the board and is almost unstoppable to both red and black. Akroma even gets abilities that white doesn't get and as another great card for reanimation, Akroma represents one of Legions' best contributions to the game of Magic.

1. Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero
Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero gets the top spot for one reason: She's dang good. She dominated the Mercadian Masques block in Rebel decks to the point where the great white Legend was banned in Constructed. Throwing rebels onto the board from your library in the early game is always a great way to win games, especially when the card only costs three mana! She can also let you put cards from your graveyard into play for a little more mana, by putting them under your library so you can re-search them.

And that sums up the best of white's legends! Look for other top 10 legend lists to come.
