If you have taken a look at many players championship decks they either have lots of rare cards put together to make a really expensive and powerful deck, or a bunch of low costing common cards. These common cards, however, are usually backed up with a few great rares to give the deck the edge it needs. In most scenarios the deck with higher costing cards will win the game, compared to the low costing decks. These decks can be improved, but for most players they dont exactly have the resources or funding to create such an elaborate deck. This is where the Barrow Ghoul Deck comes into play.
In magic games you can base decks on the rares that you have, or base the rare cards on the types of decks that you have. This is very important to consider while making a deck. The rare cards and common cards are just as important as each other. The rare cards cant survive with common cards to support them, and common cards cant win without having rares to enforce the fire power behind the decks strategy. This deck shows a good amount of cheaper cards interacting with rare cards. Even according to fetar ~ You need some bombs to get you out of sticky spots. Below are what I think a good deck is made of, at a fair price.
This is the more expensive deck that people could go out and buy. There are many different options that this deck can use in order to get out of a tough situation. Balthors make it so your army is back and better than ever, Sutured Ghoul is inserted in case you arent able to handle a single huge creature, and Decree of Pain is there incase too many creatures get on the board. Not all of these rares are needed into the deck, but are a good thing to have. Other black rares work well in these types of decks.
Notice that the more expensive deck is barely over $20. That still seems fairly funny to me. The way that new players should make decks is fairly simple. Find those common cards or uncommon cards that have certain "limitations" to them. For example barrow ghoul is a 4/4, but is hard to keep in the game. Also you can throw in some good rare cards from boosters to spice the deck up a little bit.
The cheaper deck consists of less rares and more common cards that still work well with this deck. It isnt always the best idea to pay less for a deck, but if you are so low on cash that you cant afford the more expensive one (Yet still only $26 dollars), then this is a good deck for you. Feel free to modify this deck to finish of or hose your opponent.
