Tuesday's Lesson #1: Printable Floors
Materials/Tools Needed:
- color
printer
- white
cardstock
- scissors
- ruler
- newspaper
- pencil
- white/school
glue
- black
fine point pen
- clear
acrylic seal (the kind that has to be brushed on) and disposable foam
brush
Wednesday's Lesson #2: Contact Floors
Materials/Tools Needed:
- white
marble Contact (self-adhesive shelf liner) paper - available at most
department stores
- black
marble Contact paper
- wood
grain Contact paper
- scissors
- ruler
- Poster board or
cardstock cut to fit your room
- X-acto knife
and new, sharp blade
- Pencil
- Brown marker to
match Con-Tact paper: NOT a permanent marker
- Soft rag or
paper toweling
- Mod Podge or other
decoupage sealer, matte
is what I use; I guess you could use gloss
- Brush-I use the
throwaway foam brushes
- Wax paper or
freezer paper, or other non-stick surface, larger than your finished floor
size
- Glue,
double-face tape, or wallpaper paste to fasten “wood floor”
Thursday's
Lesson #3: Carpeting
Materials/Tools
Needed:
- velvet
or velveteen material
- posterboard
or cardstock
- tacky/craft
glue
- newspaper
- pencil
- scissors
Friday's Lesson #4: Real Wood Floors
Materials/Tools Needed:
- wood
veneer (thin paper-like wood) OR wooden popsicle sticks
- craft
knife (if using veneer for your floor) OR Dremel or small saw
- wood
stain
- clear
acrylic seal and disposable foam brush
- newspaper
- pencil
- scissors
- wood
glue
- fine
grit sandpaper
- paper
towels
