Easy 1/12th Scale Wooden Pedestal Tables
Based on a project from the book "Dollhouse Accessories, Fixtures, and Fittings," by Andrea Barham.

Materials/Tools Needed:
short lengths of cornice moulding (scraps can be used)
miniature scale turned baluster or banister spindle
wooden badge mounts (look for these sold in packages filled with mixed sizes and shapes, sold in craft sections of department stores and in craft stores)
paint or wood stain
fast setting Epoxy type of glue
small drill
saw
fine sandpaper
1. Cut four 1/8 (3 mm) lengths of cornice molding using a saw. Sand all cut edges smooth.
2. Glue these four pieces of cornice to the base of the baluster or banister at right angles to create the "feet" or support base for the table. Make sure these are glued on evenly on the bottom, or your table will wobble!
3. Glue the wooden badge mount to the top of the baluster or banister spindle to create the tabletop. For an even sturdier table, you may wish to drill a small round indention to the underside of the badge mount for inserting the top of the baluster or banister spindle into, though for simple miniature display it's probably not needed and the glue should be sufficient enough to hold your table together well.
4. Be sure to wipe off all excess glue, especially if you plan to stain your table, as stain will not be able to go through any glue to color the wood beneath it.
5. Once the glue has dried completely, stain or paint your finished table!
