More Ice Cream Treats

Materials/Tools Needed:
White caulk
Paint chocolate brown, strawberry red, mint green, white
Fabric paint red, brown, white for ice cream
Brown, white and tan Fimo, chopped into very tiny pieces
Tiny red beads for cherries
Ball-shaped candy sprinkles (I used real sprinkles no problem with bugs)
Miniature bananas
Mini spoons and ice cream scoops (may use toothpicks painted silver)
Clear pushpins for ice cream sundae bowls
Tops from glue bottles for milkshake glasses
Inside packaging for capsules such as Contact for banana split dishes
Bowls for toppings
Thin nylon string (the kind that attaches tags to garments is perfect) for straws
3/8-inch wooden dowel
Cardboard, 1 x 2-inches
Tacky glue
Super glue
Scissors
Ruler
Saw for cutting pushpins
Pencil sharpener
Make the sundae cups by first removing the pin and then using a saw to remove the middle section from a clear pushpin. Glue the remaining top and bottom pieces together to make a dish. To make a sundae use the white fabric paint for the ice cream. Drizzle on some strawberry or hot fudge acrylic paint. Add a little whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry.
Make the banana split dishes from the clear plastic packaging such as is found around capsules like Contact cold medicine. Glue a bubble portion of the plastic to an oval cut from the plastic using super glue. To make a banana split put 3 scoops of fabric paint (your choice of flavors) in the dish. Add toppings as desired. No need to add the banana - it would be covered by all the delicious toppings anyway!

Make the ice cream cones by sharpening one end of the dowel in a pencil sharpener. Cut the dowel ¾ from the pointed end and paint brown. Continue sharpening, cutting and painting until you have 8 to 10 cones. Fill the cones by adding a little mound of fabric paint to the flat end. Make a holder for the cones from a 1 ½ x 2 piece of card stock (see photo). Use a large needle or small nail to make rows of holes. Other minis can be added such as a container of straws, napkins, a milk shake mixer whatever you have available.
Tips:
The cherries are berries from artificial Christmas holly.
The straws are made from telephone wire.
The scoops were made from birthday candleholders. I cut away some of the cup portion that holds the candle and painted them silver.
To make the can of whipped cream roll a ½ wide strip of paper into a tight coil. Glue the overlapping portion together. After the glue has dried use a pin to telescope the paper until the can is about ¾ tall. Glue a tiny metal tube into the center of the top to form the spout
