Ice Cream Treats

Materials/Tools Needed:
White caulk
Paint chocolate brown, strawberry red, mint green, white
Fabric paint red, brown, white for ice cream
Brown, white and tan Fimo, chopped into very tiny pieces
Tiny red beads for cherries
Ball-shaped candy sprinkles (I used real sprinkles no problem with bugs)
Miniature bananas
Mini spoons and ice cream scoops (may use toothpicks painted silver)
Clear pushpins for ice cream sundae bowls
Tops from glue bottles for milkshake glasses
Inside packaging for capsules such as Contact for banana split dishes
Bowls for toppings
Thin nylon string (the kind that attaches tags to garments is perfect) for straws
3/8-inch wooden dowel
Cardboard, 1 x 2-inches
Tacky glue
Super glue
Scissors
Ruler
Saw for cutting pushpins
Pencil sharpener

For each tub of ice cream:
1. Cut a piece of manila folder 1 x 3 ¼.
2. Form this into a cylinder by overlapping the 2 long edges by ¼ and gluing together.
3. Use the cylinder as a template to cut a bottom from the manila folder.
4. Glue the bottom to the cylinder to make a tub.
5. Place a 1/8 strip of silver tape around the top and bottom of the tub.
6. Partially fill the tub with the white caulk unevenly to look like ice cream has been scooped out.
7. Insert a mini ice cream scoop (can be a part of a toothpick painted silver) into the wet caulk.
8. Allow the caulk to harden and then paint with a flavor of your choice. You can mix some of the chopped pieces of Fimo to add chocolate chips, nuts or marshmallows. Be creative its your ice cream.

Make bowls of toppings using chopped brown Fimo (chocolate chips), chopped tan Fimo (chopped nuts), tiny ball-shaped candy sprinkles, brown fabric paint (hot fudge sauce), red fabric (strawberry topping) or whatever your imagination comes up with. A bowl of bananas and a can of whipped cream would be good additions.

Make milkshakes by filling a top from a bottle of glue or some other appropriate glass with fabric paint in your choice of flavors. If desired, add a little white fabric paint for whipped cream and a small red bead for a cherry. Make sure to add a straw.
