2008 - The MOMS Club of ABQ-West Mesa is holding a canned food drive during the 2nd half of October, with proceeds benefiting The Roadrunner Food Bank.
2007 - The MOMS Club of ABQ West Mesa supported Cuidandos Los Ninos. A group located in Albuquerque that takes donations of everything from blankets to diapers to toys to formula. We did a good job at raising various items to give to this wonderful charity.
2006 - The MOMS Club of ABQ West Mesa supported Albuquerque Christian Children's Home by having a hygiene drive for toiletries and a paper goods drive. The home is for children who have no stable home environment and relies solely on donations. It houses children ages 0-18 and works hard to reunite children with their families whenever possible.
We also held 2 separate canned food drives with proceeds benefiting the Roadrunner Food Bank. The first drive raised about 90 pounds of food, and the second raised about 110 pounds! Great job moms!
2005 - The MOMS Club of ABQ West Mesa is a proud
donator to the Barrett House in Albuquerque, NM. Earlier this
year, the club joined together to bring a large supply of toiletries and
necessities to the women and children living there. The Barrett House
has provided emergency and short-term shelter for up to three weeks to
homeless women and children. Each year they provide more than 5,400
"shelter nights", and 16, 000 meals to over 600 women and children.
In addition they offer classes and counseling for daily living skills
from parenting to literacy. They have provided these services to
the women and children of Albuquerque for more than a decade.
