Here's
my good-bye article.
Well,
let's see, how do I start… I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE! After three
long years, I guess this really grows on you. It doesn't seem
like three years, it past by so fast. As I look back to the different stories
that I have done, I realize that, well; I've done A LOT.
With
5 and Up, I got to do things I never even dreamt of doing, like riding
a jetski, going surfing and body boarding and flying on an Aerochute.
I even survived a trek through the Jungle, learning how to drink water
from bamboo and starting a fire with no matches. I have enough stories
stacked up to even share with my grandkids someday.
My
experiences with 5 and Up gave me an understanding for people-their situations
and their plight .I remember clearly, like it was just yesterday, when
I shook hands with a lady with AIDS. As I sat down and listened to her
story, I felt my emotions change from fear to compassion. I recall
the times that I got to meet famous people. From singers, to band
members, from basketball players, to bowling champions, all blessed with
great talent.
I
guess I can say that without 5 and Up, I wouldn’t know half of what I know
now. I've experienced things that not any other person would experience.
The
only thing I regret about 5 and Up is, I could've, would've, should've,
done more. There were just too many stories to tell, people to meet, places
to go, but not enough time. |
