| AJ and Xanda strolled from store to store trying to figure out what to buy for their friends and family. "Get this for Brian!" Xanda stated as she held up a pair of salad tongs. "That? What for?" AJ laughed as he walked over to where Xanda was standing. "So you can pull that log out of his ass." She replied, placing the tongs back down. AJ had to laugh at her sense of humor. She was Brian's first enemy. "I need to buy a gag gift for all of 'em." AJ explained when the walked into Spencer's Gifts. Xanda wondered over to the section that was filled with BSB items and giggled when she noticed a group of girls gushing over the notebooks, pictures, and watches. "Oh babe!?" She sang out as she wondered over to the other side of the store where AJ was. "Yeah?" He asked back without looking up. "Please, pretty please with a cherry on top, autograph these for me?" AJ stopped reading the 'Sex Manual For Dummies' book that he was planning to buy for Nick and glanced at Xanda. "Oh shit! Put those away." He whined. Xanda leaned down to peer under his baseball cap and smiled innocently. "But I love your underwear." She teased while holding a pair of Backstreet Boys boxers. "Just...just...go put those back!" He said, fumbling with his words. "Nope. They're kinda cute. Maybe I'll buy them to wear around the house." She contemplated. "Fuck." He mumbled as he grabbed the boxers from her hand to put them away. "Alex, you don't wanna do that..." Xanda called after AJ. "Ohmigod! Look behind you." One of the younger girls told her friends when she saw AJ standing behind them trying to put away the boxers. Once her friends turned around, they started to scream and squeal. "I tried to stop you." Xanda mouthed while standing behind a display of greeting cards. AJ did his best to sign autographs and talk to the young fans but realized that it was getting late. "I'm sorry ladies but my friend is waiting for me." AJ explained, pointing toward Xanda. The young girls looked over at Xanda and smiled sweetly at her. AJ walked over to her and put his hand on her lower back in a gesture to start walking...quickly. "They are cute." One of the girls commented which caused AJ to smile. "Im not sure. She's really professional and he's really wild." Another girl replied. "You know what they say. Opposites attract." The last girl defended. Xanda looked up at AJ as they exited the store and grinned. "I feel bad for your past girlfriends." She said. "Why?" He questioned. "Millions of girls and many beautiful women throw themselves at you guys all the time. No wonder the word 'commitment' is like a four-letter word to you." AJ laughed slightly. "It's all about trust. If a girl can't trust me, then there's no relationship. It's as simple as that." AJ said as they walked into Macy's. "You have to earn her trust." Xanda replied, walking into the Junior's section of the store. Xanda and AJ separated to do some shopping for themselves. Xanda was looking at some new shirts to go clubbing in when she heard AJ shout something to her from across the store. "Try this on." AJ repeated as he came bounding through the Junior's Department with a very elegant dress draped over his arm. "What!?" Xanda asked back. She hated trying on clothing when she had no intentions of buying them. "It's a Donna Karan dress. Try it on for me." Xanda shrugged and took the black dress from AJ and glanced down at the price tag. "Holy shit! $5000! And you want me to try this on?" Xanda had never worn a dress that had cost more than $500 in her life. "Just do it. Please?" Xanda sighed before nodding her head. "I'll be out in a minute." AJ grinned at the images he was conjuring of Xanda in that dress. Before his fantasies became too detailed, he heard Xanda clear her throat. AJ quickly turned around and felt the air catch in his throat. "Wow." He whispered. The dress was completely backless and flowed down from the waist while the top portion of the dress pushed her cleavage upward. There was a high cut on the side of the dress which gave the impression that her legs were longer than they were. Xanda grabbed the front portion of the dress so it wouldn't drag on the floor and walked over to AJ. "Does it look okay?" AJ's eyes grew wide as he nodded his head. "I guess that's a yes." She giggled. "I'd talk but like I said yesterday, only enough blood for one head." Xanda looked at AJ with disbelief as she swatted his arm. "Give me a few minutes." She stated as she walked back toward the dressing room. "Need help taking that off?" He offered sweetly. "You wish, babe!" She shouted back at him. She didn't realize it but she had caught the attention of a few older teenaged girls shopping in the department. "Wow!" One of them commented on the dress. "I know, it's amazing, isn't it? Too bad it's so damned expensive." Xanda replied. She started to have a conversation with the two girls about the dress when she noticed that AJ was starting to walk over to them. "You're getting that dress." AJ stated as he walked over to Xanda. Xanda flashed him a warning expression but AJ didn't seem to notice the girls standing behind a rack of clothing. "I'm getting this dress?" She asked back when she realized that he didn't care if there were others around. "I'm buying it for you because I need a date for the Grammy's." AJ explained as he made his way around a few rounders in the middle of the store. When he reached Xanda, there were two other girls staring at him with their mouths hanging opened. "Hello, ladies." He said while flashing them a flirty smile. "Hi, AJ." One of them greeted back. "Please try to tell my friend Alexandra that she should let me buy this dress for her because she looks like a princess in it." AJ said. The other two girls looked toward Xanda and nodded their heads. "You should get that dress! Especially since he's going to buy it. If a guy offers to buy something expensive for you, then let him do it!" The first girl stated while her friend nodded her head. "I swear you women are out to get us men." AJ whined. Xanda looked AJ over with one eye brow raised, "You better believe it! I'll be out in a minute and you're buying this for me." She demanded as she walked back into the dressing room. AJ laughed to himself, turning to face the girls. "Thank you, ladies. She's stubborn and only reverse psychology works on her." AJ smirked causing the other two to laugh. "I HEARD THAT, AJ! And just for that...you're not gettin' any." Xanda shouted from the dressing room. "I'm not 'gettin' any' as it is." AJ mumbled. "Maybe if you play your cards right..." Xanda whispered into his ear after she walked out of the dressing room. AJ turned around with a shocked expression. "What happened to 'one day at a time?'" He asked. "Eh, that depends what mood I'm in." She replied looking him dead in the eyes. "Maybe we should go." The two girls said. They were starting to feel uncomfortable in the presence of the two 'lovers'. "Oh shit..." AJ muttered when he realized that they still had company. "You made him blush! Thanks, girls." Xanda said as she watched AJ change color. *** "I can just picture it now. 'AJ's sexual romp in a department store.'" Xanda giggled while they walked through the parking lot. "I'm glad you find this so amusing." He remarked, tossing the dress bag over his shoulder. "Oh, chill out. I doubt they'll tell anyone. If they are true fans then they'll respect your private life." Xanda stated. "You don't get it. Most of our fans are young and they love to gossip especially when it comes to our so-called private lives. By the end of the night this will be all over the internet." Xanda shrugged before she took the car keys from AJ and clicked a button to unlock the doors. "Can I drive?" She asked while AJ put the dress on a hook in the backseat. "You want to drive?" He asked back. "No, I just asked for the hell of it." Xanda sarcastically replied. "Do you even know how to get home from here?" He asked back. "Shit. Okay, fine. I guess I'll have to trust you with my life again." Xanda crawled into the car and buckled her seatbelt while AJ let the car warm up. "I can't believe it's dark already." Xanda commented as she looked out her window. "Yeah, but it's still early." AJ replied, pointing the clock on the dash board while he looked over his shoulder to back up. "Okay. Where to now?" Xanda asked. "I was thinking of taking you to my house." AJ nonchalantly replied. "Taking me to your house. Why?" She asked. "God, do you ever stop asking questions." He teased as they drove up a dark street. Xanda could make out the outline of large houses. "Nope. Never. Get used to it." She replied. *** "How many gifts did you buy?" AJ asked Xanda. "Not many. Some Chanel lipsticks for my mother, three Tommy clubbing outfits for Keely, I went to Flowers-To-Go while you used the bathroom and ordered some flowers for my fathers grave, and that's about it." Xanda replied. "Every time I talk to you I end up having more questions to ask." AJ laughed. "Of course you would, we just met." She calmly replied. "So, what questions do you have for me?" She asked as AJ turned the car on to a long, winding road. "You told me last night that you had a mother who lived in Cairo, a father who passed away, and Keely. That can't be all you have." AJ stated. "I don't know you well enough to divulge my past. A lot of it is too painful to talk about unless I'm in the company of someone I...well, someone who..." "Someone you know and love. Someone you trust." AJ finished for her while she nodded her head. Xanda looked out her window and noticed that they had stopped in front of a large, modern house. "Well, this is where I live." AJ said, turning the car engine off. Xanda looked back at him with a shocked expression. "It's huge! If you and Brian are in the same group, I'm assuming that you're both in the same financial boat. Why doesn't he have something like this instead of living next door to me?" Xanda questioned while stepping out of the car. "No, he's in a bigger 'financial boat'. I spend money like water, babe. You'll figure that out quick. Anyway, Bri's modest compared to me. He only buys what he needs." AJ explained before taking her hand in his. Xanda looked down at their hands intertwined and grinned. What was she doing? She barely knew the man at all. Her attraction was completely sexual. He was everything she would never date and that's what appealed to her. 'God, I don't know how much more of this I'm gonna be able to take.' Xanda thought as she watched AJ fumbled with his keys using his only available hand. "You can let go if you want." She offered. AJ looked down at Xanda before bringing her hand to his lips. "Oh, but I don't want to do that." He replied, kissing her hand. Xanda felt a shiver go down her spine. AJ knew what he was doing...again. He peered up at Xanda while his lips were still hovering above her hand and smiled. He stood back up and inched his body closer to hers. Xanda bit her lower lip and tried not to look into his eyes. He was going to make her weak in the knees if she did so. "Alexandra. Look up." AJ quietly demanded. He quickly learned that his eyes were the key to her body. Xanda had to fight not to look up but the tip of AJ's finger won out as he lifted her head. AJ stared into her eyes while his hands moved down her body to her lower back. 'Fuck it!' Xanda thought as she stood on her toes and pressed her lips to his, knocking him up against the wall. AJ dropped his packages and keys on the floor and let Xanda have her way with him. They took turns using the wall for balance. AJ put his hands under her shirt and unhooked her bra as they continued to heatedly kiss. He moved his hands to her stomach and started to wonder upward until he found her breasts. Xanda knew that it was a repeat performance of the night before but didn't care. She wanted him. AJ stopped and pulled back to look into her eyes. "You know where this is going to lead?" He panted. Xanda nodded and pulled his head toward hers. They continued to kiss and touch while AJ tried to open the door again. He leaned down and grabbed the keys again before standing back up to continue to kiss Xanda. He fumbled with the doorknob and felt the door swing opened. Xanda had been leaning part way between the door and wall and almost lost her balance. AJ's eyes flew open as his jaw hit the floor. "MOM!" |
